High Touch High Tech provides totally hands-on and totally participatory FUN science birthday parties at your location in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Our parties combine the most exciting experiments for a safe, fun filled, fast paced hour and fifteen minute adventure.
All parties consist of hands-on experiments for all children, a science certificate for each child and a fun science gift for the birthday child. We also include a basic goodie bag for all of party guests.
Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of your $50.00 deposit.

Dates fill up fast - reserve your party date now! We accept Visa, MC, American Express, Discover, or personal check/money orders. Deposits can be submitted by phone, mail, or Paypal. Credit card orders will be charged a $5.00 fee per transaction. Parties booked greater than 40 miles away from our office will be charged a $30.00 trip fee.

Do you have a location?
We come to you! Typically birthday parties are held in private homes, parks, but occasionally we can conduct birthday parties in other venues. Parents are responsible for the location and for seating of the party guests - we'll bring the science!
How many guests does the price include?
The price includes 15 guests. Additional guests are possible at $5.00 per guest. As these are materials-intensive, hands-on activities, very large parties require special arrangements in advance. Please call us to discuss.
Will you do a birthday party in my city?
We serve the greater San Francisco Bay Area. We have served parties in Pleasanton, Dublin, San Ramon, Livermore, Danville, Alamo, Walnut Creek, Concord, Pleasant Hill, Orinda, Lafayette, Moraga, Martinez, Tracy, Modesto, Fremont, Castro Valley, Union City, Hayward, Milpitas, San Jose, Cupertino, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Palo Alto, San Mateo, Los Gatos, Los Altos, Portola Valley, Hillsborough, San Carlos, Burlingame, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Napa, Mill Valley, San Rafael, Rohnert Park, Alameda, Oakland, Berkeley, and even the Sacramento area!
If the party is more than 40 miles away from our location (Pleasanton, CA) we may charge a $30 trip fee. Don't see your county located? Call us and we may be able to direct you to a High Touch High Tech location near you.
What time should I tell my guests to arrive?
Please have your guests arrive at least 30 minutes before our party is to begin. Very often guests are late which interferes with the party. Our party will begin at the start time and end at the finish time.
Where should the children sit?
Children need to be seated at tables. Please contact us if this is a concern.
What time will the Scientist arrive?
Our Scientist will arrive shortly before the party. The set-up time for our party is minimal and only takes 10-15 minutes.
How do I prepare for the Gem Party or Fossil Party?
If you are going to do the gem dig please have your hose hooked up for the Scientist. The gem dig will take place outside. Please prepare a safe area.
Where are you going to do the Hair Raising Machine?
If you are doing the Hair Raising Machine please have a room on the inside of the house selected. It cannot be done outside due to the humidity. If your site has air conditioning, please turn it on at least 30 minutes before the party.
I would like to have a "balloons" theme (or animals, bugs, ships, monsters, etc.) Are there different science activities to choose from?
In most cases, High Touch High Tech has a fun activity that will match your theme. Please call us to discuss as "special" parties may require additional lead time for supplies.
Help! My child is having a birthday this weekend, and I need a Scientist!
In most cases we can probably help. Call us!
What about my adult guests?
We love parents and encourage them to attend. However, you may want to have an area for them to socialize. When the parents crowd around the tables, it is distracting to the children and they are in the way of our Scientist.
Do you provide goodie bags, and what is in them?
We provide a basic goodie bag as part of the party package. Typically, we put science toys, a shark's tooth, a piece of candy, and a glow-in-the-dark critter. The goodie bags stand alone, or you may place them within your own goodie bags if you prefer.
Can the birthday child's younger sibling participate?
In general, yes. Younger children frequently enjoy participating, but we suggest an adult assist them.
